Tips for Safe, Stress-Free and Rewarding Road Trips
I have been going on solo road trips for more than 22 years and have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience from my trips. If you'd like to read about my past and current road trip experiences, visit my blogsite : http://goddessroadtrips.com

When/where do you want to go? First thing to do in planning a road trip is to determine when/where you're going: family event, high school reunion, visiting friends, relocating or on a business trip.  Allow yourself enough time to plan the details to insure a  stress-free experience. Planning
is a very important part of your road trip. Planning and writing information into a 3 ring binder helps me stay organized. The time of year, the season in which you'll be traveling, will determine your route, length of trip, clothing to pack, etc.

Be sure you make arrangements for a  place to sleep while on the road.  When you're  tired and hungry, what feels the best is knowing you have a comfy bed, good food and a hot shower waiting for you. I suggest that you look at your route on a map and choose which cities you'd like to visit.

Once you make your choice, go online to hotwire.com, hotels.com, orbitz.com, travelocity.com or a hotel/motel chain of your choice to determine what hotels/motels are in that city.  Check each website to compare choices/prices and make your reservation. Having a hotel reservation will help you stay organized around your road trip. You'll know where/when you'll be staying in a particular city and you can make traveling easier.

I suggest that you carry a have a copy of my Goddess Road Trip Manual and Journal  with you on your trip for guidance and support. You can read a synopsis and purchase copies of  The Goddess Road Trip Manual and The Journal at: www.lulu.com/healthdoc.
